Celtic Cultural Alliance Announces 2024 Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival Performer Line Up From Trad to Pub Tunes to Celtic Rock
Bethlehem, PA – July 1, 2024 - The Celtic Cultural Alliance (CCA) is excited to announce the performer lineup for the 2024 Celtic Classic happening September 27th – 29th. Five stages of world-renowned Celtic entertainers will fill downtown Bethlehem with the sounds of tin whistles, fiddles and of course bagpipes!
There are new names this year. Being introduced for the first time will be: Ally the Piper, award winning piper who plays everything including heavy metal! Conor Mallon arrives from Ireland with their unique sound and Uillean bagpipes. The Byrne Brothers bring their Irish influence and high-energy, award-winning musical and dance show. The 2024 lineup ranges from traditional to Celtic rock and fusion. They will keep toes tapping and inspire a jig or two. Seamus Kennedy, musician /comedian extraordinaire, returns after a 3-year break, Albannach brings back their tribal, Scottish sound and The Prodigals return with a strong Celtic rock vibe. Crowd favorite Emish is here to play their last gigs before retirement. Local favorites Woomer & Whitaker take the stage with their Celtic repertoire.
Rounding out the line up are crowd favorites Blackwater, On the Lash, Glengarry Bhoys and Gerry Timlin. Gerry is making his 37th appearance, having never missed a Celtic Classic since the first year! The full lineup with bios can be found here: https://celticfest.org/post-grids/entertainment/
“There will be surprises every minute of the 2 ½ day weekend and it will be filled with Celtic presentations ranging from dance and music to traditional competitions, lectures, food & shopping.” Says Jayne Ann Recker, Executive Director of the Celtic Cultural Alliance. "With the outstanding support we've received from the community and from our sponsors, this year's festival is poised to be one of our largest celebrations of Celtic heritage while still remaining a free, family-friendly event."
The CCA is gearing up for the 37th presentation of the Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival, September 27th – 29th, and will continue making major announcements throughout the summer.
